- Age Verification
- A check to confirm you are legally old enough to gamble, usually by providing ID.
- Arbitrage
- Betting on all possible results of an event across different bookmakers to guarantee a profit.
- Bankroll
- The total money you have set aside for betting.
- Bookmaker
- A person or company that sets odds and accepts bets on events.
- Cash Out
- A tool to settle a bet early, letting you take a profit or cut losses before the match ends.
- Draw No Bet
- A bet on a team to win; if the match ends in a draw, your stake is refunded.
- Futures
- A bet on the final winner of a tournament or award, like which team lifts the World Cup.
- Hedge
- Placing a bet on the opposite outcome to reduce risk or lock in a profit after an earlier bet.
- KYC
- Know Your Customer, a process to verify your identity and prevent fraud or underage betting.
- Live Betting
- Placing bets on a match while it is happening, with odds that change as the game progresses.
- Moneyline
- A bet on which team will win the match, with odds shown as a positive or negative number.
- Odds
- Numbers that show how likely an outcome is and how much you can win from a bet.
- Over/Under
- A bet on whether the total number of goals in a match will be more or less than a set number.
- Parlay
- A single bet that links two or more selections, requiring all to win for a payout.
- Payout
- The total money you receive when a bet wins, including your original stake.
- Point Spread
- A handicap given to the favorite team to level the betting field, shown as a plus or minus number.
- Prop Bet
- A bet on specific parts of a match, such as which player scores first or how many cards are given.
- Responsible Gambling
- Practices and tools that help you bet safely and avoid gambling problems.
- RTP
- Return to Player, a percentage showing how much of the money wagered on a game is returned to players over time.
- Self-Exclusion
- A way to voluntarily ban yourself from betting for a set time or permanently.
- Sportsbook
- A place or platform where you can bet on various sports, including soccer matches.
- Stake
- The amount of money you risk on a bet.
- Unit
- A standard size for a bet, often a small percentage of your bankroll.
- Value Bet
- A bet where the odds seem higher than the true chance of the outcome, giving you an advantage.
- Vig
- The fee or commission a bookmaker includes in the odds, affecting your potential payout.
